Mark your calendars! The 2017 In Your Write Mind Workshop will be held at Seton Hill University, June 22-25, 2017.


IYWM 2017 Early Bird Registration is open!

Early Birds who register by May 1st will have the highest priority to get their 1st choice of Agent/Editor for pitch sessions & pitch time slot.*

Those who register between May 2nd and June 12th will be assigned a pitch session time slot based on order of preference. Please note: This is a lottery. It is not guaranteed you will receive your first choice, though every effort will be made to accommodate your preferences.

Additional time slots will be available at registration on a first come/first served basis.

*Every effort will be made to accommodate your 1st choice, however, this is dependent upon the number of Early Bird Registrations.

2017 Special Guest Author has been announced!

Diana Rowland is an urban fantasy author best known for her Kara Gillian Series and White Trash Zombie Series. She has been nominated for the RT Reviewers’ Choice award five times and won twice. In 2012, Rowland’s My Life as a White Trash Zombie audiobook, narrated by Allison McLemore, was nominated for an Audie award, and in 2016, the White Trash Zombie Gone Wild audiobook, won an Audie. Rowland was recently invited to write for the Wild Cards series edited by George R.R. Martin and has a story in the forthcoming volume, Texas Hold ‘Em.

The In Your Write Mind Workshop is an extension of the Seton Hill University Writing Popular Fiction Alumni Association.


Mission Statement

We exist to provide support and help one another. Our purpose is to foster a writing community for both alumni and current or prospective students of the Seton Hill University Writing Popular Fiction program. We do this through our network of online sites and the annual In Your Write Mind Workshop. We are passionate about providing and maintaining a scholarship fund for students in the Writing Popular Fiction program.

While we encourage every aspiring writer to join the Writing Popular Fiction program, we welcome all writers (alumni or not) to join us for the In Your Writing Mind Workshop held every June in Greensburg, PA.

  1. Super five star WOW conference on the beautiful SHU campus. Already inked my calendar for the 2017 IYWM conference.
    After today’s alumni business meeting, it was difficult to leave all that POSITIVE energy this 2016 conference generated. THANK YOU to all the IYWM committe volunteers and Mary Ross-Cox for your hard work in creating another magical success. 🙂
